Chef Tim Murphy

After years of education and extensive executive positions within the food industry, Chef Tim Murphy has led the growth and development of Brick Village Gourmet since 2005 as co-founder and President. His vision was cultivated from his desire to manufacture super premium products with the attention to detail that only a Chef can provide.

Chef Murphy is a native of Western New York. A graduate of Cattaraugus Central School in 1972, Tim enrolled in the Culinary Institute of American in New Haven, Connecticut. Upon graduating from the Culinary Institute, he was drafted in the US Army where he acted as Personal Chef to Lt. General Fred Kornet, Jr., Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. From 1974 until 1989 Chef Murphy owned and operated two restaurants and a catering business in Gowanda, New York. From 1990 to 2004, he acted as Executive Chef/Director of New Product Development for SYSCO Food Services of Jamestown, New York.

With a deep understanding of the challenges today’s women face in their quest for unique and natural products to serve their families and friends, Tim’s keen business sense coupled with his culinary expertise made him the ideal person to establish Brick Village Gourmet with his brother Pat. His vision was cultivated from his desire to manufacture super premium products with the attention to detail that only a Chef can provide. Since 2005, Chef Tim Murphy has led the growth and development of Brick Village Gourmet as co-founder and President. Chef Murphy urges the women of the area to come to the For Women Only Expo and “Taste the Difference”

Chef Lisa Edgar

Chef Lisa Edgar was born and raised in Delmont, Pennsylvania. Lisa’s desire to become a chef started at the age of thirteen when she was inspired by a family vacation aboard a cruise ship. After graduation from Franklin Regional High School, Lisa enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Johnson & Whales University in Providence, Rhode Island which is one of the premier culinary schools in the US. In 1997 Chef Lisa graduated cum laude and received her Degree in “Baking and Pastry Arts”.

Lisa externship was with the Athenaeum Hotel at the Chautauqua Institution. After graduation, Lisa returned to the Institution for the next four years. During her time at the Institute, she also took additionally classes at the Culinary Institution of America in Hyde Park, New York. In 2001, Chef Lisa assumed the position of Executive Chef for the Athenaeum Hotel where she remained for several years cooking for many celebrities including Bob Hope, Bill Cosby and Senator John Edwards.

In May of 2006, Chef Lisa Edgar accepted the Executive Chef position at Brick Village Gourmet Foods. Lisa was excited for the opportunity to work with her friend, Chef Tim Murphy, owner and CEO of the Brick Village Gourmet Company. Her background, experience and philosophies on food preparation complement what was already being done at Brick Village Gourmet.
